Has anyone got any plans for this week or this weekend. I am out for an easy hour tomorrow morning at 6 just to ride my legs off a bit. Thursday will be the normal 5 am ride – if you’re still up for it Simon?

Anything for the weekend? I would like to ride but haven’t planned anything yet and I think the regular 50 miler is getting a bit samey.

I’ve turned them off because they were annoying me intensely. Any objections?

I am trying to put a friend on the road. He has a really, really old ‘clunker’ – a raleigh with a white saddle! It goes but some better brakes and wheels would make it safer. It is 5 speed. If you have anything lying around for chucking out let me know. I will have a look on e-bay though.

Do any of you have a projector screen we can use for the film night.

I can supply data projector, speakers. DVD etc and other technical paraphanelia but not a screen.

Let me know if you can help out.

Rich A and I are canvassing opinion on who might be interested in a trip to Mont Ventoux next year. There is an award for those who climb it three times in a day and a special award for those that go on to do a special extra 4th climb. Looking at this:

the descent bothers me a lotmore than the climb! If anybody fancies it or has any tips on accomodation etc let us know.

Many thanks to all those that went on the ride this morning. I appreciate that Ben and my speed wasn’t up to the usual. However Ben really has got the cycling bug. When were in the bath he said “cycling’s like a family”. I asked why and he said that we all look after each other and make sure we’re all OK, just like a family.

I was really chuffed. We’re obviously demonstrating the ethos we want the new club to adopt.
