The Tour of Britain Sportive looms – has anyone had an entry pack? I can’t remember receiving one.
So unsure of the start time I wonder what cars etc we have and if we will all be starting together?
Who is riding that hasn’t got a Beeston shirt and would anybody who has a shirt that is not riding be prepared to lend one for the day?
After spending a pleasant sunday afternoon on the kitchen floor cleaning my chain and associated coggie bits……my attention was drawn to the state of my handle bar tape……..
Who ever thought that white handle bar tape was a good idea had obviously never had to try and keep them clean.!…..has anybody got any tried and tested suggestions? or any other use full bike cleaning tips….?
Anybody able to go to this ?
The usual.
Meet here at 7pm to do this 27 mile route having 2000ft of climbing and this profile:

@ All,
Just to remind all club members that the first Cyclo cross meet is being held at Allestree park on Saturday the 5th of September.
If you would like to attend and race at this event then you can find all the relevant information on the Notts & Derby CC League .
I will be walking the Bramcote hills course on Friday afternoon with Brian Fenwick from Beeston Road Club, if you are unaware we as the BCC are affiliated to the BRC regarding all things Cyclo Cross. We still need club members to help run this event on the 24th of October so any help would be great. Once I know what is needed I will place something on the blog.
Hello to all.
96 and 64 mile options and priced at a fairly reasonable £25
Saturday 24th Oct Chapel-en-le-Frith, SK23 0TQ
Tour of the Peak
I notice there is a clash, the Social ride and the VCLE annual hill climb. the former at 9:30 am, the latter at 10:30 am.
Just a thought but why not make the social ride go via Dale Abbey, you can then spectate or partake and carry on with the social ride afterwards?
Just an idea.
Taking the hilly route into work via Cloves leaving at 7am
As stated up to Ashbourne and back taking in the hills. Will be bowling along so as to get back in 3 and a half hours.
I’ll be heading out into V o B for an undulating loop round Belvoir Castle. However I’ll be heading to Grantham after the loop and not heading back to Beeston. If anyone wants to join me I’ll be leaving Beeston at 10ish. I’ll check the Blog tonight and in the morning.
I may meet up with the earlier ride at Nero’s before heading out.
