Bulwell Park Cyclocross

Hi all,

Just checking out the details of the Saturday cyclocross event.

Does anyone know where the parking is, the google maps link just points to Nottingham Golf Course:

  1. I went to watch the race at Bulwell last year, but can’t quite remember where it was, but I’ll be there getting caked in mud for sure. Been quite looking forward to the first mud-fest, think we’ve got of quite lightly so far this season.

  2. Having looked at the map, from memory that looks about right where it’s showing, I think the golf club is on the left, and the open fields, where we ride, on the right.

  4. No sign of other Beeston boys at Bulwell, it was fast, boisterous, muddy, and wet.

    Lost my glasses – and three places – at one point, damn that’s frustrating when you work so hard to gain them! But still enjoying the league and SLOWLY moving up the table.

    Can’t make next week in Derby, MTB in Lakes instead, let’s hope it’s raining less than last week!

  5. Gutted – I did 2 warm up laps then broke my pedal!

    First race I’ve watched as a spectator, it was quite entertaining. I stood by the stream crossing for a while, there was a mix of people riding and running across, saw a couple of people bail in head first!

    Couldn’t believe how fast and easy the lead 2 guys made it look, there was a sizeable gap back to the 3rd position. Felt sorry for Ben, he was leading until last 100 metres then he lost the back wheel on the grassy bank traverse and he hit the tape pole. The other guy sprinted away.

    I’m away this weekend as well, will be Alvaston Park next for me.
