Who are you and tell us a little about yourself?
I am Rosanna of course, durrr. I like beating my mum (she’s slow)!
What’s your motivation to get on your bike?
I get a reward at the end (hopefully).
What brought you into cycling?
I learnt to ride my bike in the car park of the Doctor’s surgery on Sunday mornings.
What are your short, medium and long term cycling goals?
I would like to do the racing at Darley Moor. I would like to ride from Beeston to Paris!
Do you have any strengths / weaknesses on the bike?
Acceleration up hills.
Only nerds have weaknesses.
What was your first bike?
A red racer – dad can’t remember what it was called.
And what is your favourite bike that you have owned?
I like my Islabike (hey that rhymes)
What bike/s do you currently own?
My Islabike, but it’s getting too small now.
If money where no object what bike would you buy?
A Ridley cross bike with the World Champion stripes on.
What disciplines of our sport and to what degree do you participate in? (ie road / mtb /cross)
Cyclocross, riding out with mum or dad – dad’s better. I also do triathlons.
What’s your funniest moment/thing you’ve seen whilst on a bike
Heather riding into a brick shed.
Do you have any favourite rides?
When I win.
Have you achieved any significant rides?
When I was 8 I rode 45 miles with dad from Kingussie to Coignafearn Lodge. We had to climb Slochd summit, which I called Mount Rubbish. It would have been 50 miles but the road ran out. We had to wait for mum to arrive in the car with our lunch.
Describe your ideal ride.
When mum says “I can’t ride any more” and I say “shame”
What is your favourite bit of kit?
My Nicole Cooke racing skin suit which mum bought for me at the Ride For Round Hill auction. It was a bit flappy round the legs at first, but now I am bigger and it fits better. When I’m out on the road and people ride towards me they sometimes wave at me like geeks because they think I’m famous.
Where is your favourite café?
Betty’s in Harrogate because it serves vanilla and chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce.
What do you do when it rains?
Play inside and watch tv. I like MI High and Top Gear and the Basil Brush Game Show.
Do the walk, talk, gear freak or fashion victim?
What does that mean?
What wouldn’t we know about you just by looking at you?
When I was ill in Switzerland I did blue sick.
What activities could Beeston CC do that would be of interest to you?
Family Rides that are quicker.
Is there anything else about you, that you would care to share?
Not right now.

Welcome to the RRT and great profile – no more blue sik though. Too freaky.

45 miles at 8? I wish I could do that now!
You need to give me some cross tips at the next race.
