Hilly Night continues. Bring big lights.
For the newcomers, (Mike's) Hilly Night is a fast-paced ride that takes in a series of seven local climbs. It's 28 miles with 1850ft of climbing. Traditionally it's ridden pretty much flat-out from the start, and everyone gets dropped eventually. Average speed at the front is usually 20mph+, but once the climbing starts everyone tends to find their own pace.
Meet at Bramcote Park. Route shown takes the southern branch on the way out (No Man's Lane), and the loop at the end is anticlockwise (Cloves then Drum).
Weather forecast for Tuesday is not good. Will see how it looks nearer the time, but if it's wet this will be cancelled - this isn't a route to ride in the rain.

Very wet overnight and all morning. It's starting to clear up now, but some parts of the Hilly Night route won't dry out before this evening. I'm not wild about descending damp, slippery roads in the dark, so going to give this a miss tonight.
I'll leave the ride up in case anyone else still wants to do it, but I'm out.
