Weekend away in South Wales for MTB or Road?

11:39 Mon, 25 Sep 2017

I can book a large house near Afan trail centres and some of the road climbs on the Dragon Ride for a weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings) for £650. Check it out http://www.windways.co.uk
I have been there 3/4 times and it's a great place to stay with a hotel right across the road which has a bar and restaurant.
It is available (if we are quick) for :
October 20th, 27th and November 3rd and 17th.
Can you let me know on this discussion if you are a) interested and b) your weekend preference.

I am interested. Prefer Oct to Nov.

Would have been interested but we are planning to go away for a week round about 20/21 October so that counts me out.
November is too late really - short days, uncertain weather etc - so I wouldn't be up for it then.

I'm interested. Nov 17th is best for me :o)

Sorry can only make the one in late November but don't really fancy wales at that time of year

18:05 Mon, 25 Sep 2017

I could be interested! Would a girl cramp your style?
I can only do the November dates.

Plenty of rooms Emma

22:49 Mon, 25 Sep 2017

November better for me - does the house have a drying room ;-)

12:53 Tue, 26 Sep 2017

I'd be interested, November best for me. (assuming we need a reasonable size group to make it viable)?

13:04 Tue, 26 Sep 2017

Sort of Markn - The boiler is in a small utility area where clothes and shoes can be dried.

13:49 Tue, 26 Sep 2017

I'd be interested and while October might be nicer, November is just fine. Especially if we have some good whisky to keep warm. You have to keep warm.

a pair of Sealskinz socks,... a buff,... and a bottle of something peaty... bingo

10:13 Mon, 2 Oct 2017

Potentially there are 9 people interested but with differing date preferences. It appears that November 17th is the most popular. Due to my cx commitments I can only do 27th October so down to 8 (including the two fair weather riders!) so the cost would be £81.25 - £108.33.
Is this viable?

10:50 Mon, 2 Oct 2017

I can do that date and would be interested at that price.

27th Oct is good for me, so is the price.

12:53 Thu, 5 Oct 2017

Think you've ms-read that Phil - 17th Nov is the date.

17:52 Thu, 5 Oct 2017

Quite possibly, but isn't RichO saying that he can only make 27th Oct?

20:50 Sat, 7 Oct 2017

Yes 17th is the most popular but there does not appear to be much commitment. As such I do not think it's worth booking in view of the cost. However, if you can confirm that 17th November is acceptable we can add numbers and calculate the cost. Cheers

I'm going to drop out of this (and i'm gutted) due to a fooked up back :o(
hopefully i'll get to go next year??

9:30 Tue, 10 Oct 2017

Due to the lack of commitment I'll shelve this until sometime next year.
