Hi... I'm planning a bit of a bike ride in the next couple of weeks, and was wondering if anyone could help suggest any bike-friendly stops (cooked breakfast would be ideal) in:
a) Somewhere around Skipton, or a bit further north into the Dales, or:
b) In the Peaks, somewhere in the Hathersage / Grindleford / Baslow area?

Not sure how far north into the Dales you're planning to go, but BCC's Chris Stanley recently became the landlord of a pub north of Hawes. If you drop him a message I'm sure he'll fill in the details.

As for Hathersage, we went to Cintra's tea rooms when we did Mike's not-a-sportive ride in June. Good food and service, and a nice garden around the back that offers excellent bike security. Would definitely recommend.

Grindleford Station Cafe is ok. If your going anywhere near Winnats/Mam Tor then the No-Car Cafe is very good.

I'll be starting at Hawes - staying just outside there. Cintras looks nice, and Skipton seems to be full of options - I've shortlisted the Pie and Mash shop, that should help me up those hills!
Thanks for the help!

Ahh, but the Peaks were an ancient tribe who just happened to live in a peaky area, weren't they? So it's the 'District of the Peak people', nothing to do with tops of hills.
By the way, Cintras tea room was fab! (Or is it Cintra tea rooms?)

quite
And the Peak does not have Peaks, you'll need the Himalayas for that.
