We have been asked by the Tour of Britain.
Stage 7 - 8th Sept

They wondered if we would be interested in an opportunity for local cycling clubs for Stage 7 of the Tour: West Bradford to Mansfield. Essentially the need marshals for the various Sprints and KOM points on the route.

At a minimum about 10 but the more the merrier !

We can also choose which Sprint/KOM our club would like to marshal, if you are interested just put your name down in the rides Link http://beeston.cc/events/event/?id=3771#thread_form and which Sprint/KOM.

Ideally they would like us all at one or the other
Messages from ToB:See which Sprint/KOM as a club you can get too (with at least 10 people) and go from there. At the moment, the only Sprint that has been taken is at Retford.

Hi All update from ToB.

Thank you to everyone from Beeston Cycling Club for kindly offering to help at the Keyworth KoM. Your assistance will be very much appreciated.

This should be a great opportunity to get front row “seats” to watch the elite riders on Stage 7 of the race in Nottinghamshire. Everyone is encouraged to wear club kit - the idea is to showcase as many clubs as possible whilst supporting the elite riders on the race.

Please find attached a copy of the Volunteer Marshal Information which I would ask you to kindly share with the volunteers from Beeston CC. (I can email you all this.)

The meeting point and times are as follows:-

Skoda: KoM 1 Keyworth
Location: NG12 5AG
Meeting Point: Top of The Hill
Meeting Time: 10:00
Finish Time: 11:30(Approximately)

The crew who will be responsible for the 1st KoM on Saturday 8th September are as follows:-
Terry Connolly
Craig Dodd

On arrival, please report to these officials who will be wearing branded clothing in either blue or black and high visibility vests.

Sincere thanks to everyone for kindly giving up their valuable time to support the 2018 OVO Energy Tour of Britain.

I suggest we set off at 8:30 and cycle via Ruddington/Bradmore and approach Keyworth via Bunny Lane.
We will be set up well before the riders come through Ruddington.
