Funeral details for tomorrow.

Rodney Rouse has spoken with Tracey Perry to finalise some details for Jason's funeral tomorrow regarding cyclists.

Meet at Trent Valley Crematorium just before 3pm.
Derby Road, Aston-On-Trent, Derby DE72 2AF

Around 3:10pm we will roll down a short distance to meet the hearse and the Beeston CC team car will lead the cyclists infront of the hearse back to the Crematorium.

Funeral starts at 3:30pm

It is suggested that given it will be dark after the funeral, if people drove to the Crematorium with their bikes it would be a lot safer for the journey back to the Beeston Social.

It is with deep sadness to hear of the passing of our club member Jason Felose.

I found this great picture of Jason (left) with Phil Giles at one of our EMRRL races.

I only just heard this sad news today, so please share with the cycling community.

I know a lot of our closest family & friends know of Jays recent cancer diagnosis of Leiomyosarcoma just 2 years ago in 2021 ..

This is such a cruel & rare cancer ..!

After just over a 2 year battle, Jay sadly passed away losing his fight with this cruel disease, on Monday 27th November 2023 at the young age of just 51 …

Far far too young to die …

He fought so damn hard & was so incredibly brave throughout his battle …!

He would & I know he would be absolutely honoured if you could donate just £1 in helping towards getting an early diagnosis of this cruel disease in hope that this may help someone else’s fight for life ….

Lots of Love T .. 

His love of cycling was his absolute world

 

If Anyone Still Wishes To Ride 

Then This Will Now Be From The Long Driveway Leading Into The Crematorium Due To Safety of The Cyclists, The Awful Weather & Dark Ride Back To The Venue ….. 

We propose that those that would like to, assemble at the crematorium earlier and then we cycle together down the drive and then lead Jason into and along the long driveway

Also for those attending with or without a bike please try and wear something Royal Blue  Beauvale / Beeston CC blue.
