BCC performances across the region
The full squad of racers have been earing a spread of victories and placings throughout the season. The momentum for the season finale over the next two months is looking promising, mixed with their desire to animate all the races they enter.
We are seeing the benefit of the development of the full squad who are gaining placings and victories across many different races throughout the East Midlands and beyond. This sees them getting into contention for the more high profile E/1/2/3 races. Their sucesses and development throughout the season is standing the club race team in good stead, as we push for more victories in our key category races.
Stefan Rick has recovered from his broken hand and he is helping the younger team with his experience and often sacrificing himself for their results.
Sally, Manager and Phil Team Captain are pleased with how the season is going and the larger squad is allowing us to enter more races with full team members.
We have highlighted the races below which our racers have gained placings:
East Midlands Road Race league cat 2/3/4
After an early season hampered by illness and injury, we have gained momentum and are confident that we can claim more victories and placings. As we approach the end of the league season, we will be fighting for overall victory and the team title.

Its was a good weekends racing. 2nd in the time trial, 19th on stage 2 after having to chase back on after getting a wheel change. Then Chris went on the attack but unfortunately got brought back. And 2nd on stage 3 from a breakaway, which added up to a great 3rd overall. Chris felt really strong all weekend and pleased for a breakaway to finally pay off.
We will update this report with the team's exploits as the season progresses.
