BCC host EMRRL and Overst league
Our facebook page documents the success of the club hosting these two great events on the 9th of April, plus our ladies team raced in Birmingham.
Summary results below:
EMRRL Round 2, cat 2/3/4
Matt, Chris, Iain, Ayrton and Phil fought well in a high tempo 70 mile race in 23 degree C temperatures. Iain got away in the decisive 12 man break, he was feeling strong and was primed for a podium finish, when he got nudged out and lost his momentum. Iain finished 12th and was disappointed but happy with his overall performance and tactics. The rest of the team gave everything and finished in the chasing peloton.
OVERST League cat 3/4 - 40 miles.
Sy, Sam, Jack, Tomas, Angus, Colin, Ed, and Greg raced in the second race of the day.
Jack and Tomas grabbed excellent 11th and 12th placings.
Sy was caught up in the crash and a few of the team were delayed by it and lost the chance to get back in the race. The rest of the team finished in the chasing group.
Women's race 2/3/4 Karbona in Birmingham
Yasmin grabbed a great 7th place and Cheryl finished just outside the points in a race that had seen much attacking. They forged a great alliance with LFCC and dominated many sections of the race.
