I fancy this one, but not in atrocious weather! What time would you advise leaving Beeston Russ?

I'd drive to the start and it only takes about 40 mins if that.

AS per the Mere 200 - work and weather permitting I'm in. Will review the options when back from Hungary.

Posting the entry tomorrow, fingers crossed for above 2 oC weather. Put Richard in for it, but doubt he will be up to it, he's only just back from skiing and will probably be injured in some way. Daft sport.....

According to the website entries are closed.
As a rlue of thumb, most entries foraudaxes close 2 weeks prior. Popular and big events can fill up weeks if not months in advance.

So I guess I can't get on it then:( I may email but I've looked at the weather and I maybe just as well stayin at home!!

Like last week, you could still do the ride, just not allowed to eat the sandwiches or get a certificate! Weather for Sunday looking better than Saturday though..........

At the moment I'm doubtful for the start really don't want a DNS but I hurt my shoulder last weekend and it's still sore at the moment I don't think I could hang on to the bars for 100km.
I'll make the final decision tonight :(

Well, I was the only one who did it in the end. Fuck me, it was character building! Full on headwind for best part of 35 miles. Had two punctures and got rained on 2 miles from the finish. Surprisingly large number of people out but lots of DNS. Great ride.

Good going Russ. Tough ride on any day.

I'm stiff now :-(
