If we want to avoid the tram-works then we could go over Clifton Bridge and out via Ruddington & Cotgrave. Adds a couple of miles, but might actually save time compared to getting a big group through all the traffic lights in West Bridgford.

(University Boulevard is sketchy for cyclists at the moment too - the temporary road layout forces you to cross the tram-tracks at a very shallow angle.)

My preference would be to meet at the canal bridge in Beeston Rylands then go canal, Thane road, Clifton bridge and out through Ruddington as Richard suggests?
What do people think?

I'd be happy with that. 9am at the canal bridge?

I have updated the route out, let me know your thoughts, I'm not sure of the best route Ruddington-Cotgrave but wanted to avoid the A606/A52 island.
I've moved the start time back to 8.45, to allow plenty of time for a 10:30 start at Terrace Hill. Hope this is OK with everyone?
BRC are meeting at 8:45 and going via University boulevard/Wilford bridge. with a bit of luck we'll meet up on the way out.

Route looks fine to me. The A52/A606 island isn't actually too bad (and there won't be much traffic early on a Sunday morning anyway), but I agree it's not ideal for a big group. Same goes for the stretch of the A606 between the roundabout and Tollerton.

Not been to one of these before. Wife and children may come out as well in the car. So... Will there be other supporters, where is the best place to park. Can I book a start time? And finally does anyone have a postcode? Cheers.

The street address is Wood Lane, near Belvoir Castle. I think the post-code is NG32 1EY. (I presume that's for a SatNav.)

Parking shouldn't be a problem. There are some houses and a farm up the top of the hill, but the bottom part is a flat country lane between two fields. Anywhere that doesn't block the road should be fine.

2 lay-bys as well. Go to the top and watch the finish.
As for booking a start time, people will be signing on like the TT from 10:15ish. Get there then for an early start time.

Weather looks great - dry night forecast, 16C and sunny intervals tomorrow morning. Howling tail-wind for the ride out too...

Thanks for today. I enjoyed the whole experience even though I am by no means a climber of hills!
