Not sure about the dance and pray bit, but will try and remember how do the entry by snail mail bit!!
Chuffed your coming Sally! Will is rolling also and Danny and his friend. Is Richard joining us?
I am thinking we probably need to meet at Attenborough lights at 7:00 it looks about 12 miles.
I might join you on this as i need a proper shakedown in prep for my welsh tour. If coming i'll be on the tourer c/w pannier and travelling at a sedate pace. If i dont come i'll be racing balls out for 50mins at the cyclo-cross!
I also will not have officially entered so i'll be in danger of suffering the wrath of the audax police...
I was allowed to enter this today by the organiser so I'll be taking part.. mind if I hop/roll along?
I may join you guys for this; for part of the route (I'm now living near Etwall). So, if you're departing from Darley at approx 7am, would it be fair to say that you'll reach the Derby Lane/A515 junction at around 8.15am? If so, I'll meet you there.
Chaps, which way round does the route go? I'd assumed clockwise, allowing me to jump on at elavaston? However Rhod now makes me think it's anti-clockwise?
Rod, we are departing Attenborough Lights at 7 am.
Mark, I think it is anti clockwise, on my list to re plot the route before loading on to garmin to do today.
As Sally has highlighted rolling out at 7, should get to Darley 7:45ish quick cup of tea and off we go at 8.
I imagine we will pass through Alvaston 8:30ish and I would think Ingleby by 9:00ish if you want to jump on Rod.
If you click on the audax link at the top you will find an old school route sheet which will give clearer directions and distances.
Looking forward to seeing you all Saturday for a wet one!!!
After seeing the forecast I may now skip this event and go out later, once the rain's cleared up, instead. So, if you don't see me waiting in Ingleby at 9am-ish, please don't wait for me.
You can mention them. But they ain't ever going anywhere near one of my bikes... I'm slow enough without that extra weight and increased wind resistance...
I've had a rough two days and not sure if I'll be making this now. If I'm not at the lights at 7am don't wait for me.
Will you'll be glad of those extra layers when you come out of the cafe. At least its drying up a bit.
What a ride! Hope you're Ok Willy?
Great shakedown for (my) next weeks Welsh odyssey (rode with fully loaded pannier) and a creaking route. Glad the sun came out and we had a fab tailwind in the way back.
I'm fine except quite a bad break on my left little finger, must've just landed badly. Going into fracture clinic Monday and might need to be wired.
