To all those who didn't bother with this ride - you missed a cracker. A hilly circumnavigation of Leicester. Great training for next weeks Epic. Possibly the hardest 160km Audax I've ever done!

Update Monday morning - I'm knackered and I ache all over. 240 miles over the weekend plus falling off have taken there toll. Gonna take it steady for a couple of days.

Going out for an easy ride on Wednesday if you want to join me Russ? Meanwhile, take it easy!

On a personal note the friendships that I have developed have been on the bike or socially (it would be rude not to). The web has merely been a facilitator.

Well, Russ and I are well facilitated now after meeting up for the above-mentioned ride today, a great rolling 40 mile loop in better-than-August weather. We even had a pint with Greg at the Manor on the way back. What's not to like?

Great day, great ride, great weather, great company,great to meet up and chat with Greg at the end.
